The Great Plate Bar & Grill opened on November 23rd, 1998 in Tracy, California.  Since then we have served well over 2,000,000 meals!

Our vision was to have a casual sports and entertainment oriented restaurant and bar that would be comfortable and welcoming to new friends and old the minute they walked in.  We have succeeded in reaching this goal.  From live entertainment to our wide selection of beers to our wonderful food, the public reception has been wonderful.  If you haven't been here, then we hope to see you soon!

Alexis Brown has been working at The Great Plate for the last 5+ years as a manager and bartender.  Anyone who comes in during the week certainly knows this friendly bartender.

Q:  How and why did you get started in the restaurant industry?
A:  I started in the restaurant industry when I was very young as a part time job.
Q:  How long have you been doing this type of work, and where?
A:  I have been in the restaurant industry for 18 years.  13 years with Lyons restaurants and the last 5 and a half with The Great Plate. 
Q:  Where are you from, where did you grow up, and what brought you to Tracy?
A:  I am from the Bay Area.  I moved to Tracy 16 years ago.  The small town atmosphere was great for raising kids.
Q:  What do you do with your spare time?  Hobbies and interests?
A:  Most of my free time is spent with my family.  We enjoy going to the beach, hiking, and good ol' fashioned BBQ's with friends. 
Q:  What do you like about working at The Great Plate?
A:  This is my home away from home.  We are all one big family.
